Information we process
We process the video and file metadata you submit, the selected output mode, anonymous session identifiers, account information when you sign in, and payment references needed to provide the service.

How ClayVideo handles uploaded videos, generated references, account data and service logs.
Language preference
On your first page visit, Cloudflare provides an approximate country code and your browser sends language preferences. ClayVideo uses them only to select a supported interface language, then stores the choice in the functional clayvideo_locale cookie for up to one year. The cookie contains only the language code, and a manual selection replaces it.
How we use it
We use this information to upload and process your video, return the generated MP4, enforce usage limits, prevent abuse, provide support, reconcile payments and keep the service reliable. We also record first-party example views, playback and generation or checkout clicks to understand how examples help users. These records use a hashed session identifier and, when signed in, your account ID. They are retained for up to 30 days and are not sent to third-party advertising services.
Storage and retention
Uploaded source videos for browser sessions are normally retained for up to 24 hours. When a persistent account is enabled, account source videos may be retained for up to 7 days, generated outputs for up to 30 days, and operational logs for up to 30 days. Security records may be retained for up to 90 days. We may delete files earlier when processing is complete or when you request deletion.
Service providers
ClayVideo uses Cloudflare for hosting, edge delivery and private object storage, Neon for PostgreSQL data storage, Dodo Payments for payment checkout, and a video processing service for video conversion. These providers receive only the data needed for their function.
Your choices
You may stop using the service, request deletion of your files, or contact us about a privacy question. Some records may need to be retained to prevent fraud, resolve disputes or comply with law.

First-party purchase analytics
To understand checkout friction, we record credit-warning views, purchase and package clicks, pricing visits, sign-in transitions, checkout-link results and links to confirmed orders. Behavioral records use a hashed session identifier and a short-lived purchase-flow identifier, may link to your account ID after sign-in, and are retained for up to 100 days. Financial orders have separate retention requirements. We do not record video content, file names, passwords or card details, or send these analytics to third-party advertising services. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable optional behavioral collection, without disabling necessary payment and order processing.
